Water Features for Your Pool!
There are many different types of water features and all of them can create a unique look for your pool! Dream Acres Pool Company uses custom water features to make your swimming area a piece of art. And just like art, they reflect your own personality and tastes. Scroll down to see just a few of the fun features we can bring to your backyard oasis.
Waterfalls and Grottos
Most popular with freeform and lagoon-style pools, waterfalls can be constructed of a variety of stone and stone-look materials and in any size and scale.
An especially popular trend is a larger-scale waterfall that creates a hidden, swim-in grotto, equally perfect for an exciting childhood adventure or a romantic stolen kiss!
Bubblers
Bubblers are fun water features that spout up from shallow pool surfaces like steps and beach entries. When combined with the right
aesthetic lighting, they can create striking centerpieces to a variety of swimming pool styles. When placed on a beach entry or tanning deck, they create a fun splash pad for small children and big kids alike.
Deck Jets & Laminars
Deck Jets use air to shoot streams of water from the deck into the pool. Laminars arc across the swimming pool for an elegant and fun addition to
your swimming pool. They make for particularly fascinating water features at night when backlit with LED lights. Your kids will love chasing the glowing water!
Sheer Descents
Sheer descents are water features that gently pour into the pool from pool or spa walls and come in configurations as various as a “sheet of glass”
effect to sheets of rain-like droplets. They range in size from a few inches wide to several feet for a plethora of elegant looking applications, all providing the soothing sound of falling water!
Raised Spa
A raised spa not only makes easier access to the spa, but adds a luxury element to your backyard. A raised spa stands out in the
design as opposed to a pool level spa.
Tanning Ledge
Tanning Ledge, commonly called a sunshelf or baja bench; a flat ledge typically located at the entrance of the pool. This tanning ledge is the perfect location
for a lounge chair or the sun-worshipper who wants to avoid getting overheated from the sun or fully submerged while enjoying the pool.
LED Lighting
The use of LED lighting in your backyard poolscape adds a whole new dimension to the look you’re trying to achieve. Whether you’re incorporating LED accent lighting
throughout the project or into custom features like rainfalls, bubblers, and steps, a little illumination goes a long way.
Cool Decking
Textured acrylic coatings are a popular choice for pool deck surfaces due to their cool and slip-resistant qualities. These coatings, made of concrete and acrylic,
absorb less heat than other materials, making the surface feel cooler to the touch. The textured surface further reduces heat retention by exposing less surface area to bare feet when walking on it. Additionally, when the proper sealer is applied, the texture of the surface enhances its slip resistance, providing added safety for pool-goers.
Slides
Today’s water slides are designed to seamlessly meld with the style of your pool. Built of complementing stone or other materials, they are sure to
provide a visually appealing accent while promising unending hours of fun for all ages.
